CONTENT CREATION & CORPORATE BRANDING:

My content creation journey began in early 2020. Like many others, I spent more time mindlessly scrolling on social media than I’d like to admit—and found my brain turning to *mush.*

I set out to create the content that I wanted to consume—a smart, engaging account that was a source of daily learning (and a bit of levity). At first, I was way too shy to show my face on video and solely communicated with my audience via text-based Instagram feed posts & Stories—but realized if I wanted to grow, video was the next frontier. I joined TikTok in March 2020, and now, watching my first videos makes me wince. I held my phone two inches from my face—and the lighting looked like I was in the corner of my basement.

I soon got the hang of things, and built a following of 145k+ (and growing!) across TikTok and Instagram over the past two years. My goal is to make my audience smarter in every aspect of their lives—so my content encompasses interesting news stories, advice to succeed at work, savings tips, side hustle ideas, and so much more. I now partner with individuals and brands who are looking to amplify their own social media presence.

CAREER STRATEGY & PERSONAL BRANDING:

Ever since I was in high school, I was ‘that friend.’ That friend who helped you write a compelling e-mail to your professor to ask for a term paper extension. That friend who coached you on how to ace your internship interview. That friend who revised your resume from tip to toe.

I continued being ‘that friend’ during my time as an undergrad at NYU and in business school at the Kellogg School of Management. In between college and business school, I worked as an educational consultant in Shanghai—where I partnered with clients based in China and Hong Kong on crafting personal statements and applications for the world’s most elite schools. In business school, word of my services spread—and I began working independently with clients on a wide variety of personal branding initiatives (resume writing, career coaching, and college admissions essay editing). With a background as a copywriter, strategy consultant, and alumni interviewer for Northwestern University, I bring a multi-faceted approach to all client engagements.

FUN FACTS:

  • I will do just about anything for a good slice of carrot cake.

  • I’m extremely clumsy and have never been good at sports. I played basketball for four years growing up, and averaged four points…per season.

  • Random jobs I’ve held throughout my life: homemade jewelry seller (made bracelets to sell at my brother’s baseball games from ages 7 - 11); book review columnist for my local newspaper (ages 14 – 17, which later led to an internship with HarperCollins Publishers); copywriter for an e-commerce company, where I fashioned hundreds of ways to say ‘this pillow is pretty’ (ages 18 – 21)
